Tom Wolf and his administration regarding his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. This administration has caused mass confusion and widespread outrage from elected officials, community leaders, small businesses and hard-working taxpayers for arbitrarily moving goal posts to reopening our state’s economy and giving our residents their freedoms back.
HARRISBURG – With Gov. Tom Wolf threatening to veto a bill designed to strengthen the state’s Right-to-Know law, Fayette County Republican lawmakers are urging him to instead sign the measure. Reps. Tom Wolf’s statements that he plans to veto a government transparency bill (House Bill 2463) that addresses access to public records during a disaster declaration and received unanimous support from the Legislature. Bud Cook (Washington/Fayette) announced today that the Monongahela Valley Hospital has been approved to receive $15 million in funding through the Hospital Emergency Loan Program (HELP), which provides short-term financial relief as hospitals combat the surge of COVID-19 cases in their area.

Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) joined his colleagues in the state House in voting for legislation that would require the governor to develop and implement a plan to mitigate COVID-19 for businesses and allow those businesses that can meet the requirements of that plan to reopen.
