Cook to Host California Town Hall Meeting
10/4/2017
BENTLEYVILLE – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) is inviting concerned citizens from the California School District, along with all other stakeholders, to join him Thursday, Oct. 19, for a special informational Town Hall Meeting. The meeting will be held at the California Volunteer Fire Department, 1000 Wood St. California, PA 15314, beginning at 6 p.m.

“One of the most important parts of my job is staying in touch with the people who hired me to be their voice both at home and in Harrisburg,” said Cook. “The purpose of this Town Hall is not to discuss what has been done, but most importantly what can be done in terms of major quality of life initiatives and job creation throughout the 49th Legislative District. We will also review accomplishments, challenges and problems during the first half of 2017 that represent opportunities for continued growth throughout the Mon Valley. Come on out and learn about what’s going on at the local level and throughout our state, ask questions and leave with answers.”

Cook will open the meeting with an update on current local and state legislative issues. The forum will then transition to a panel discussion where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and further discuss issues impacting the community. In addition to Cook, panel members are expected to include borough council members, county commissioners, school board members and township supervisors.

Interested individuals should register for this FREE event as soon as possible by calling Cook’s Bentleyville district office at (724) 669-2242.
