Cook to Host Second Annual Women in Leadership Conference

WHAT:    Rep. Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) will host the second annual Women in Leadership Conference where several females from different industries will come together to share their stories of leadership and success.

Panel one will consist of Pennsylvania legislators, including Reps. Regina Young (D-Delaware/Philadelphia) and Tracy Pennycuick (R-Montgomery). 

Panel two will consist of women in the trades, including Susan Bealko, corporate safety director, GMS Mine Repair and Maintenance; Sgt. 1st Class Kimberly A. Smith, U.S. Army; and Rachael Beam, engineering manager, Pennsylvania American Water.

Panel three will consist of women in other industries, including Dr. Laura Jacob, superintendent, California School District; Michelle Beener, president, Aspire Grant and Development LLC; and Brianne Mitchell, media strategist, partner, consultant and chief operating officer, Mitchell Legal Services.

Staci Kmetz will serve as the keynote speaker. Her story of how she received and overcame a traumatic brain injury will inspire attendees.
