Blessing of the Balers

Based on an event first held in Greene County in 2022, I hosted “Blessing of the Balers: A Celebration of PA Agriculture” at the state Capitol on Wednesday, May 3. Speakers included Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, PA Farm Bureau President Chris Hoffman and the Rev. Donald Wilson, who offered the blessing in hopes of a productive hay season for farmers across the Commonwealth.

WAYNESBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) is inviting residents of the 50th Legislative District to a Concealed Carry Seminar on Thursday, May 18, from 6-9 p.m. at the California Gun Club, 150 California Road, Brownsville.

‘Blessing of the Balers’ to Celebrate PA Agriculture

WHAT: Join agriculture organizations, state officials, beef growers and farmers from across the Commonwealth in celebrating the state’s top industry and blessing the balers in hopes for a productive hay season. A baler and tractor will be on-site for the blessing, while attendees are encouraged to bring their hitch pins. The event is modeled after one held in Greene County, PA, last year.
