Cook Fights For Fair, Accountable, Transparent Government in Washington County

January 20, 2021

HARRISBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) has been fighting for a fair, accountable and transparent Local Share Account (LSA) process since March 2017.

Cook requested the full records of 433 projects funded by the LSA of casino gambling. Judge Katherine Emery ruled that the full records be provided. Cook is continuing his mission to ensure the process for which these projects are chosen is fair.

In his latest letter to the Washington County commissioners urging them to provide transparency to constituents, Cook seeks to confirm what changes, if any, have been made to the LSA selection process.

The letters are attached here and here.
