WASHINGTON COUNTY – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) invites you to join his Great American Redd Up event this Friday, April 30, at 9 a.m. The Speers/Belle Vernon Bridge on Interstate 70 is the doorway to three counties – Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland – and needs to send a warm welcome.

“We want visitors to not only feel our Mon Valley pride, but see it as well,” said Cook. “The valley is a great place to work, live and raise a family. Some of us are old enough to remember the days when the Pirates theme was ‘we are family,’ and that theme has never changed in the whole 49th District and surrounding districts. Let’s work as a family to redd up and show our Southwestern pride! I’m excited to work with other counties to promote Southwestern PA as the place to be. If your job allows you to work from anywhere, why not here?”

The focus will be redding up the on and off ramps of exits 40 and 41 on Interstate 70. Constituents from Belle Vernon, Speers and Charleroi Boroughs, and Rostraver Township are invited to participate. If you would like to volunteer your time, call Cook’s district office at 724-929-2660, or use the contact form at repcook.com. More information on the event can be found at  repbudcook.com/video.

If you can’t make it Friday but want to play a role in keeping our community and our Commonwealth beautiful, check out Pick Up Pennsylvania at gacofpa.org for more opportunities.
