WASHINGTON AND FAYETTE COUNTIES –Rep. Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) will host two town hall meetings in September. The topics to be discussed at both events will focus on election reform and Cook’s initiative to make the Mon Valley a tourist destination; however, Cook will be open to answering any other state or district-related questions attendees may have.
“I encourage all residents of the great 49th District to come out and engage in the discussion,” Cook said. “Bring any and all questions and concerns!”
The first town hall will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 5:30 p.m., at the New Eagle Social Hall located at 156 Chess St., New Eagle.
The second town hall will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5:30 p.m., at The Market House located at 247 McKean Ave., Charleroi.
“Holding public town hall forums is the best and easiest way to ensure that our government is fair, accountable and transparent,” Cook continued. “I hope everyone in the Mon Valley can make it to at least one of these events to discuss topics important to our Commonwealth’s best interests.”
