WASHINGTON COUNTY –Rep. Bud Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) will speak at the Washington County commissioners monthly meeting about his “Come home…GO BIG” initiative for three minutes.
The public meeting will take place Thursday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m., on the first floor of the Courthouse Square Building, located at 100 West Beau St., Washington, in rooms 103 and 104. Cook encourages all constituents who are able to attend.
“Southwest Pennsylvania, especially the 49th District, is a great place to raise a family, work and enjoy a high quality of life,” said Cook. “Our greatest asset is our community that feels like a tight-knit family.”
Cook remains committed to putting progress ahead of politics and encouraging leaders and constituents in the area to do the same. When working toward one goal, it is important to work together across geographic lines AND party lines – and that goal is attracting businesses and families to the area.
“I could easily talk for an hour about why our area is so great,” Cook continued. “I am disappointed that the commissioners are only allowing three minutes. I will continue to promote the Mon Valley as a great place to be and will continue to ask our commissions for a committed partnership. I encourage them to be as proud as I am of our community.”
Cook will update constituents on meeting minutes as they are available.
