WAYNESBURG – In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the East Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Company No. 15, Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) presented a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
The fire company was established by a group of 25 local men in February 1923 and was chartered the following month. In 2021, the company built a new station that features wide bays, energy-efficient construction, LED lighting, a backup generator, a large meeting room and more.
“Our community is blessed by the men and women who serve with East Bethlehem Fire Company No. 15 and with all of our local fire and emergency services departments,” Cook said. “Thank you for your service and sacrifice.”
