HARRISBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) today applauded a grant of $55,476 to the Rivers of Steel Heritage Corporation for its ongoing preservation and protection of the W.A. Young and Sons Foundry and Machine Shop in Rices Landing, Greene County.

The grant was awarded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission through its Keystone Historic Preservation Construction Grant program.

“This grant is a great investment in one of Greene County’s most unique and historic assets and attractions,” Cook said. “I applaud Rivers of Steel for its commitment to showcasing the rich history of southwestern Pennsylvania while also supporting economic revitalization in communities throughout the region.”

The grant will be used to repair deteriorating gutters on the structure, as well as fix wood damage caused by the failing gutters.
