Cook Hosts Event to Promote Women in Leadership
October 7, 2025
WAYNESBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) is extending a warm invitation to all residents to attend his fifth annual Women in Leadership Conference, which will take place on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 1-3 p.m. at PennWest California, 250 California Ave., California.
“It is an honor and a privilege to host this event again this year,” Cook said. “We continue to host it because it’s truly an inspiring time to come together to learn, connect and celebrate amazing women.”
This year’s keynote speaker is Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette). She has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2022. In the Pennsylvania House, Grimm Krupa uses her diverse experience as a mother, wife, trusted local attorney and public servant to protect the constitutional rights of all residents of the Commonwealth.
“Charity’s work in the House is a true reflection of her dedication to service, leadership and standing up for the people she represents,” Cook said. “I look forward to hearing her remarks because she embodies what this conference is all about, empowering women to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact in their communities.”
Other women speaking at the event include Tracie Liberatore and Stacie Kmetz. Liberatore is the executive director and CEO of the Bradford House Historical Association, where she oversees all operations and some of our region’s important historical assets and attractions. Kmetz is an entrepreneur who owns her own salon and photography business.
“Tracie and Staci bring unique experiences and perspectives that will inspire attendees,” Cook said. “Their stories of leadership, entrepreneurship and dedication show the many ways women make a meaningful impact in their communities.”
The event is free and open to both women and men. Those who are interested in attending should RSVP for the event at RepBudCook.com/Events, or call 724-929-2660.
The event will be held in the south wing of the university’s convocation center.
