Grant Awarded to Update Greene County Multi-Municipal Plan, Says Cook

August 31, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington) announced a regional council representing several municipalities in Greene County will receive $45,000 to update its Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan.

The Jefferson Morgan Regional Council of Governments, which includes Morgan Township, Jefferson Township, Jefferson Borough and Clarksville Borough, received a grant through the Municipal Assistance Program (MAP). The funding will allow the council to update the 2005 Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan.

“We want to continue moving the 50th Legislate District forward,” Cook said. “This funding will help these Greene County communities update a plan that has been in place for more than 20 years. We look forward to how this update will help Greene County grow.”

Through MAP, municipalities and counties may apply for grant funding to cover up to 50% of eligible costs related to community planning and shared services.
